API Announce New 3122V 2-Channel Microphone Preamp

The new 3122V provides 2 analog channels with classic API sound and the same legendary circuit design that can be found in the 3124V and 3124MV, as well as in the 312, 512V and 512c mic preamps.

“The 3122V sits between the 4-channel 3124V preamps and the API mono preamps that can be used in a lunchbox or with a 500V chassis,” said API President Larry Droppa. “It is specially designed for those who require a pair of API mic preamps with an expanded feature set, at an attractive price.”
In addition to the familiar combination of 2520 op amps and proprietary output transformers that provide all API preamps with punch and headroom, the 3122V also includes XLR and 1/4 “jack connectors on the front and rear panel (conveniently selectable on the faceplate), an HP filter fixed frequency, gain control and the popular variable output level control, as well as 48V, POL and PAD.

To complete the feature set, the ability to activate the 3: 1 output transformer and 2 stunning analog VU meters with a separate LED peak meter.
“Part of the API culture is to listen carefully to our experienced users to determine what new products we should consider offering. As we have had numerous requests for a 312-based two-channel rackmount unit, we believe the time is perfect to add the new 3122V. to the API line “adds Managing Director Gordon Smart. Like all API products, the 3122V comes with a 5-year parts warranty and a one-year factory warranty.
