Studer 169 console servicing

Neumann’s first audio interface is finally here. The MT 48 is the new benchmark: unrivalled sound, unrivalled specifications, intuitive user interface. It embodies what Neumann stands for: superior quality, without compromise. Partnering with Merging Technologies, Neumann’s latest interface offers state-of-the-art conversion technology along with a host of reference-grade specifications.

When it comes to translating the quality of Neumann microphones, the MT 48 offers uncompromising performance, from sound source to ear, with no bottlenecks. With a whopping 136 dB(A) dynamic range the MT 48 also offers more gain than its competitors, with up to 78dB available. This way, you not only get the best out of Neumann condensers, but any microphone, even low-output ribbons. The same goes for the output: The MT 48 features powerful ultra-low impedance headphone outputs capable of driving even the thirstiest cans, including, of course, Neumann’s very own NDH range.

The MT 48 features a high-resolution touchscreen with an intuitive user interface designed for instantaneous and hassle-free operation. No more switching between hardware and software – all settings are made on the device itself. Equipped with a powerful DSP, the MT 48 offers sophisticated EQ and dynamics processing in each channel. As a unique feature, the MT 48 offers the ability to record Pre-FX and Post-FX at the same time thanks to its unique Dual Output technology.

With four transparent, high-gain/low noise analogue inputs and eight analogue output channels, the MT 48 has everything you need for professional recording on the move, in the studio or at home, including expansion via ADAT/S/PDIF and AES67/RAVENNA to accommodate larger setups. At £2100 inc VAT It’s not cheap, but considering the calibre of technology and features on offer here, and for the serious professional who demands the very best in class for mobile interfacing there’s nothing else quite like it on the market.
